Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory

To fulfill corporate social responsibility and monitor greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, Dafa Metal has voluntarily applied for ISO 14064-1 GHG inventory certification. Although the company is currently not listed by the Environmental Protection Administration as a regulated manufacturer required to register and report emissions, we proactively began conducting GHG inventories in 2023. The emission data for the base year (2023) will be verified by an external verification body to enhance the accuracy and reliability of the inventory, forming a solid foundation for future improvements. This also signifies our commitment to aligning with international standards and contributing to environmental sustainability. In June 2025, we applied for verification by an external third-party verification body, Formosan Standards Certification Corporation, and aim to obtain a verification statement by the end of 2025. Moving forward, we will conduct annual voluntary carbon inventories, actively cooperate with government-related programs, and disclose emission data. Quantification will focus on the main scope of our current plant site, enabling us to understand GHG emission status and trends and respond early.

Through the implementation of an in-depth carbon inventory, and based on the characteristics of the metal manufacturing industry, Category 1 emissions account for 11.16% (approximately 323.041 metric tons CO2e), Category 2 emissions account for 22.49% (approximately 651.161 metric tons CO2e), Category 3 emissions account for 1.12% (approximately 32.298 metric tons CO2e), and Category 4 emissions account for 65.23% (approximately 1888.28 metric tons CO2e).Total Emissions Inventory: 2,894.779 tons of CO₂
Long-term Goal: Use 2023 as the base year; by 2050, reduce emissions to 80% of 2023 levels. Mid-term Goal: By 2030, reduce emissions to 90% of 2023 levels. Short-term Goal: By 2025, achieve a 5% reduction (approximately 150 tons). (Measures: Replacement of air compressors, lighting equipment, and motors)

The company will continue to implement energy-saving measures and procure energy-efficient equipment. By upgrading outdated air conditioning units and systems, we aim to improve workplace energy efficiency and achieve our GHG reduction goals. We will continue enhancing our greenhouse gas management capabilities through continuous improvements, contributing to environmental sustainability.
